When setting up a security system for your home or business, there are a number of low-cost security system accessories that you should consider purchasing to complement your new security system.
Security decals – these decals, which include “Beware Dog” and “Security System Installed” decals, can be adhered to your doors or windows. They help to deter burglars by warning them about the security measures you’ve taken, and can be effective whether you truly own a dog or not.
Smoke and fire alarms – less an accessory and more an essential item, smoke and fire alarms are vital for protecting your family from potential life-threatening situations. All homeowners should install these alarms in kitchens or near fireplaces.
Panic Alarms – panic buttons are a great option for home and business owners alike. They are portable devices that can set off a security alarm at the press of a button, affording greater protection in the event of a burglary.
Door and window transmitters – these small devices can be attached to your door and windows to let you know whether someone has attempted to gain entry without permission.
Bear in mind that these are only a small selection of the available security system accessories, and that there is a wide variety of accessories available to suit different needs and budgets.
