With all of the violence going on around us it is becoming more important to be able to protect yourself when you need to. One problem people face when doing that is coming up with a budget to pay someone to teach them how to do this.

Rather than let money be the issue here are a few forms of cheap self defense that at least gives you the opportunity to try to protect yourself if you are being attacked.

One of the cheapest ways you can protect yourself is by using pepper spray. It is also known as Mace and there are many different types available for you to use.

These come in different sizes and shapes and are affordable for anyone who is serious about protecting themselves.

Pepper spray is the most common form of mace used. Size will play a role in determining how much will range you will have available. Larger sizes will be more potent and allow you to spray someone further away from you.

If you want to disguise the fact you have mace at all lipstick is one way to do that. Although it doesn’t have much range it allows you to have mace available by disguising it.

A third form of pepper spray is to use key chain mace. Mace in a keychain form will carry more potency than the lipstick mace, but not as much pepper spray.
