Wireless Driveway Alarm | Why Are They Better Than Wired Alarms?

If you have researched home security systems at all, you have probably come across driveway alarms. These are extremely effective at warning you of any person, vehicle, or animal that approaches your house. Wireless driveway alarms are a must have piece to any home security system, and this article will tell you why.

The main question you are probably asking yourself is why are wireless driveway alarms better than wired alarms? There are many reasons why but the most important reason is the cost and effort required for installation.

With a wireless alarm, you simply have to place the motion detector wherever you want it to be, connect a short wire from the detector to the transmitter, and then place the receiver wherever you like. How this works is the transmitter sends a signal to the receiver whenever motion is detected, and the receiver then warns you. The only hard part in that process is you are recommended to bury the short wire so that it cannot be cut.

Now, when you go to install a wired system, you are going to need to find a place for your motion detector. However, rather than having a wireless signal sent from a transmitter to a receiver, you are going to need to connect the detector to the receiver.

What this means is you are going to need to bury a wire from your driveway into your house. This could involve you needing to put the wire under your cement, and it will definitely involve you cutting a hole into your home, all of which is expensive.

If you want to install a wired driveway alarm system, you are going to need to be prepared to spend a lot of money and use a lot of effort to get it in place. However, you could avoid all of the hassle by simply installing wireless driveway alarms

This is actually a really good article. I was looking up the pro’s and cons to wired vs wireless and it seems as that even if technology has the capability, its not always the best quality. I’m definitely going to go the wired route as its made the most sense for me in terms of actually knowing what factors may effect the systems performance. Anyways, thank you for the article, I actually found you through http://www.besthomesecuritycompany.com
