Female Suicide Bombers in Iraq

These days most of the western countries are beefing up their security arrangements to assure that the women suicide bombers do not get a chance to spread violence here.  Many evidences are coming up that the number of women suicide is mounting high and this is one such security concern that needs to be provided with complete attention.  Most of the women suicide bombers are targeting the pilgrimage areas and one such example is that of a suicide attack in Karbala that left forty one people dead and more than hundred injured.

Many of the latest studies have shown that females are being considered as a key element to spread violence as they come under the suspicion eyes too late.  One more thing that can be said for these attacks done by the women suicide bombers is that these come out to be more lethal then what done by the male suicide bombers.  If the average number of killings in a suicide bombing attack by women is seen then it is approximately 8.4 which are much more than the men’s which is 5.3.  In the past the security arrangements and measures for guarding against the male suicide bombers has improved significantly and this is the main reason that now the women are taking the control in their hands.

As the female suicide bombers tend to generate less doubt, these in every sense are being considered perfect for the job. One more thing that has helped the female suicide bombers accomplish their mission successfully is their clothing. They dress up in loose fitting and long dresses in which concealing the weapons of destruction is very much possible. The security measures that are checked to confirm the presence of the suicide bombers are strict as far as the men are concerned and this is why the women find it easy to escape. It is a general notion that females are less violent and this also helps them in escaping out easily.

One thing that would interest many of the security assurers is that Al Qaeda and various other terrorist groups have also started training the females for suicide bombings.  Now the women are being trained to make use of the latest equipments of destruction as they are being made a part of the most of the suicide bombing attacks.

If this trend of feminization of the suicide bombing continues, the level of destruction that has happened in the past is surely going to go high.  With the body scanning and other security equipments coming up, one can just hope that the female suicide bombers would be scanned and caught before they do any destruction.  American officials have also started a research called the “daughters of Iraq” to understand the mentality of the females that are involving themselves in these attacks.
