Tuesday’s earthquake was the most disastrous incident till date that resulted in the killings of around 250,000 people and left hundreds of thousands of injured earthquake victims. Thanks to the combined efforts by Canadian and UN team of doctors and nurses. The health care professionals from both the countries contributed a lot in providing the best medical facilities to the earthquake victims. It is only due to the combined effort that the condition in Haiti is going to improve and hope to see an improved Haiti very soon. The hospitals in Haiti were destroyed completely and there were very few doctors or nurses available to treat thousands of injured people. Thanks to the medical team of Canada and US as they provide every possible medical aid to the people of Haiti.

This chaotic country faced several ecological challenges but this is the worst amongst all. Haiti is the poorest country and most people have died of malnutrition or due to some infectious diseases over here. The children of Haiti are more prone to infectious diseases, so the medical teams inspected the surrounded areas first to have a look at the cleaning and residing conditions. The medical team includes physicians, doctors, nurses and some health care professionals to provide complete medical aid to the quake victims. The medical teams have arrived in Haiti on Wednesday and after that different medical camps were organized at different locations in both cities, Port-au-Prince and Jacmer.

There were also several mobile clinics established in different parts of the cities to provide immediate medical assistance to the quake victims. The emergency relief aid was also established in port-au-Prince with complete medical equipments and medicines. According to internal resources, it was revealed that doctors or nurses were providing medical aid to around 100 injured victims a day. The infrastructure of buildings in Haiti is very poor, so most of the buildings have suffered badly and this is the reason why there were so many injured earthquake victims.

The combined efforts of doctors and physicians really help in treating the patients effortlessly. The healthcare professionals also contribute their best efforts to achieve this target in very short time. The doctors have advised the people to use filtered water and also they bring the filtered water cans as the water there was too dirty and not good to drink for a normal man. Water was the major problem in this country and there are so much water borne diseases there which can be too disastrous for people. Haiti is amongst the highest in tuberculosis and AIDS, and along with these, there are reports that the highest numbers of dengue and malaria cases are found.

There were around 70 hospitals in Haiti and most of them are unevenly divided. Most of the hospitals are acquired by private companies and the facilities provided by them are only for the rich or wealthy people. There are some public clinics and hospitals also but most of them are affected by bad or inadequate equipments. So, one can say that medical facilities in Haiti really provide great relief to the people.
