Violence in Iran – A Curse to Women Hood

A woman is considered the start of any generation and is required for carrying it forward. In today’s era of modern world there are still so many countries who do not respect women hood. Among such countries one of the countries is IRAN. In this country there is extensive violence against women. Among the prevalent conditions the violence in Iran against women is an alarming issue.

Violence in Iran an injustice towards women

Iran is among those countries that literally treat their women as non existing class. The rules and laws are also not in support of the Iranian women. The traditional approach towards marriage is a big problem to the women. It has been observed that even if a wife is unhappy with her married life she cannot call off the marriage until it is the choice of her husband and the price of getting separated is heavy which is why most women step back and bear the torture of their men. Women who think to separate are asked to not even see their children for their entire life, they are treated brutally. Whereas the Iranian men are allowed divorces at their own will. It is the decision of a man to decide the custody of children. Violence in Iran is such against women that their life values only half the value of men. This means that if a woman is deceased or is murdered then the price of her compensation given to her family is only half but in case of men, full compensation is given. It has been seen that a women is given half or even lesser amount of the blood money as compared to men.

The dress code is another mode of Violence in Iran. Women are supposed to cover them entirely and in case they fail to do so they are imprisoned, insulted and abused by the people. On being arrested it is decision of the judge to decide her fate either lifetime imprisonment or heavy fine.

The ongoing Violence in Iran is an alarming issue and needs intervention of other countries and bringing awareness among people and educating them will be the best solution.
