Role of US Police Department in saving lives of Haitians

The US Police Department played a crucial role in saving the people of Haiti from the powerful magnitude of 7.0 and interestingly, the UN administration has taken immediate action to save thousands of people. It is an appreciable effort of US administration that they acted fast and provided all the relief materials to the people. Of course, the people of Haiti were already suffering from poverty and epidemic diseases and this earthquake has destroyed the houses and lives of hundreds of thousands of people. The entire Police Department has number of challenges to face as thousands of inmates escaped from the jail which is the major threat to the authorities of Haiti and UN as well.

There were quite critical conditions in the area as thousands of survivors fight for water, food and gasoline. This is the responsibility of police officials to stop these activities and of course the police have succeeded in their task. They have really established peace in the affected area which resulted in the improvement of buildings and houses. The military and police officials have shown great efforts to make peace and stability in Haiti which was the major issue in the country. It is good news for the US administration that they have taken lead in worldwide emergency relief activities and interestingly, President Obama has said that they are doing this just on humanitarian basis.

The Police officials have provided everything to the public of Haiti from food, water to medical assistance. It is to be said that US Police Department was successful in providing complete safety to the people, removing survivors from shuttered buildings, maintaining traffic control in the area and they distributed supplies very carefully. So, these are the major and really appreciable efforts from US Police Department and the people of Haiti are hopeful to attain peace very soon.
