Conditions in Pakistan – A big threat to human security

From the past three decades, the condition of security in Pakistan has been a matter of worry for the big international powers. The religious extremism and the warlords have been flourishing in the country and there have been numerous different reasons coming for it each day. In the 1990s, Pakistan actively supported Taliban and this definitely brought it into the eyes of the big powers. There are 3 prominent reasons behind the prevailing crisis in the country, terrorism, militancy and extremism. One more situation which is troubling is that the country has highest per capita of gun ownership in the world, which is giving the other countries enough reasons to worry.
The root cause of the crisis like situation prevailing in the country is that there are many religious extremist groups prevailing here and they are working hard to promote their conservative religious opinions. Pakistan government is still not able to track down the things that are being taught in the madrassas over here and this is leading to an increase in the number of youngsters who have been recruited in the name of jihad.
The grounds over here are very fertile but are not being used for the right purpose. At present, although the government of Pakistan is making all sorts of efforts to bring an end to terrorism, still there are many interior areas that have remained aloof of these operations. There are many efforts that need to be made and all of these should be in the direction of making the terrorist groups understand that this terrorism is making their country more insecure.
Laws need to be followed up properly as without that the people who are promoting religion for their purposes will not be nabbed.
