Haiti Relief work in motion

Haiti tragedy has given a jerk to almost every heart. To remodel the country is a herculean task. Volunteers are coming forward to aid the poverty stricken country. This disaster has brought tremendous pain and sufferings to the survivors. The data shows that more than 2, 12,000 people were killed, and more than 2, 00,000 injured. This has left millions of Haitians homeless. Humankind has shown its love and emotion to help each other. These natural calamities do bring misfortune but also unite mankind.
Relief organizations are making a fast pace to come forward and lend help to the survivors. Money is needed more than any other aid. Rescue operations have pulled thousands out of rubble.
The relief workers have been flying from all over the world to aid Haitians. Volunteers from above 20 countries are in Haiti which also includes World Bank, UN and various private organizations. Different countries like Brazil, America and Cuba have sent the ships as well as aircraft to supply food. Military planes have been sent along with the team of doctors and rescue workers. US military has sent almost 9000 troops. Needs in Haiti are increasing incessantly. There are various organizations like American Red cross Society, Americares, Haitian League, Haiti solidarity network who are accepting donations. Several websites are specially designed to accept donations for Haitians. Emergency help is also being provided for basic health care services to the patients. Government is also providing the relief work by waiving off landing and airport fees and amount required for refueling stations.
100 bed portable hospitals were flown to Haiti so as to help doctors to perform surgeries. The rescue and staff members are living out with the victims. The rescue workers are helping 3.5 million people living in Port-au-Prince. Survivors are afraid of going back to the buildings as they are sacred of receiving the shocks again. Navy scientists are also supporting the relief operations. US have also operated a telephone line for Americans to seek information about their families in Haiti. Italy is also supporting the international relief operations. A civil protection department is part of the rescue operations.
Survivors are in the need of surgery. They are basically in need of three most important necessities: food, medical attention and drinking water. Approximately $ 14 billion will be required to restructure Haiti. All the workers across the world are coming to plan the structure of Haiti.
Applications can be filed for volunteering as a doctor or a nurse. The non medical or medical volunteers can also register the services they can offer. Health care services can too be offered. Volunteers are offering various services which include collecting the donations, helping Haitian families to know about their family members and relatives. People who want to help the cause can come forward and can put the information on the social networking like Twitter, Face book.
Medical workers, rescuers, volunteers, relief workers are putting every effort to help out the residents. Reconstruction of Haiti is in progress and meanwhile victims are finding a hope for new life.
