Saudi Arabia and violence in the country

Terrorist organizations are now mostly recognized with the religion of Islam. It is such a sad co-incidence, but with majority of terrorist outfits based, works on the ideology of Islam will not help them in the long run. Violence is the common term for Islamic terrorism in the world of today. The heat of terrorism has also been felt in Saudi Arabia.
September 11 attack of the twin tower traced its origin to Saudi Arabia. Islamic culture by far has believed to be centered in an around this western Asian region. It is for this reason the state of Arabia cannot be ignored.
Al-Qaeda has brought this Arab state on the map of world terrorism. They are believed to have been originated from this very country. The indifference of the Islamist radicals and use of violence as resistance against the western society has been attributed to the fall of Ottoman Empire in the early twentieth century. Since then a lot of separatist organizations have been formed and they are targeting mostly the western bases in the whole of world and more so in the Gulf countries.
Terrorism in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia is sponsored by radical Islamic fighters. Anti-Western agendas are the source of reasons for most of the terror attacks in the kingdom. Sometimes soft targets like foreign civilians are also attacked by them to gain publicity for their organization.
Until 1995 attacks against the American and western forces were few but after the Persian Gulf War it has been intensified. Lots and lots of American bases in the country have come under the attack of the extremist. Being the holiest country of the Muslim world, the presence of American forces upset the terrorist organizations to a great extent.
Local imams of the country were also found to have preached anti-American rhetoric in most of the Saudi mosques. Saudi officials are unable to crack down the radical elements in the state. Since 1995 a number of terrorist attacks were carried out by the militant groups in the state. Owing to the huge border of the country and pregnable security system of the state, many of the terrorist organizations are operating in an around the country.
The main ideology of the Islamic terrorism i.e. Jihad, or holy struggle is being preached in many mosques of the state. Jihad promotes and advocates combat against non-Muslims. The historic rivalry between the westerners and the Muslim world is one of the main motives behind the series of terror attacks on the foreign embassies and bases in the kingdom.
Terrorists in the country are often associated with the Salafis or Wahhabis groups. Americans and the World organizations should check the growing menace of terrorism in the kingdom. Unrest in the region can do more harm than can be thought off, as the region serves as the passage between the west and the eastern world. UN forces need to take over the internal security of the state. More future violence can be stopped by reviewing the security system and plugging the loopholes wherever required.
