Security has been augmented in Haiti by United States, 1500 police men had been additionally sent to Haiti along with 2000 military troops, to maintain law and order in the region. The MINUSTAH being run by United Nation in the Haiti has about 7000 troops and around 2000 international policemen in the region, 3000 of its men are available in Port-au-Prince, the capital city of Haiti.
It is important for the people of Haiti to understand that the days they had witnessed earlier were worst and the days which they are about to see are better. This positive attitude in people of Haiti can help them to come out of the sorrow and understand that the present situation is better than that during the earthquake.
Serious damage to infrastructure and damaged airport slowed the distribution process of food, water and medicine as this resulted into the struggle between Haitian people for their requirements. Many incidents of violence were reported during such situations.
United Nations proved itself the lead coordinator in the situation at Haiti. It took charge of the airport control tower as it was the most important part through which the help could reach into the country. There was a slot organized at the air port and the US as in charge of the airport control tower took care of all such situations very smartly.
The UN has extended food assistance to 60,000 people in the Haiti capital, so far. Almost one third of the population of Haiti has been affected by the earthquake and is hungry for meals; a smaller number of people had been fed so far.
Of course the time period is going to be longer in bringing situation to perfection in Haiti but in such times it is seen clearly that people all over the world can really feel the pain of others.
