Motion Detector Driveway Alarm

Have you ever wondered how driveway alarms work? How are they able to know if someone has walked past the sensor and that the alarm needs to go off? This article is going to tell you exactly how a motion detector driveway alarm works.

First off, you need to install the system. This mean you are going to need to place the sensor at the front of your driveway, about 5 feet above the driveway. If you have a wired system, you need to connect the wire to the sensor and then connect it to the receiver which will be inside the house. If you have a wireless system you are going to connect a transmitter to the sensor and the receiver will be inside the house.

Motion detector driveway alarms work by warning you of any motion that crosses the sensors. You essentially have a sensor on either side of the driveway, and there is an invisible wire connecting them. If someone crosses through the sensors, the invisible wire is cut, which sets off the alarm.

When the sensors have been crossed, a warning is sent to the receiver which then signals the alarm. When the alarm goes off it will be a noise that will alert you of the fact that the sensor has been crossed.

Motion detector driveway alarms are a great way to improve your home security. You should now know exactly how they work and can be confident that they are a great home security improvement.
