In this progressive world of technology and science everything in daily life is becoming much easier to solve. Where on one side the benefit of science making our life very trouble-free whereas on the other hand it is making us very sluggish. To keep us healthy and fit we engage ourselves working out for hours in the gym and after that to keep us afresh or in our casual time we use to swim for hours in the pool. Swimming is an activity which can be both useful and recreational. A very effective way for relaxing is nothing but recreational swimming, as it helps in enjoying the entire body-workout. Perhaps swimming is one of the best exercises. It helps human body to stay in excellent form always. Human –body density is almost similar to water-density. While swimming the water helps in supporting the body and lesser stress is put on the bones and joints. Swimming can build a very good posture and also helps the person to fabricate a lean physique. Swimming has various positive applications so while enjoying it we should be aware about the safety measures that are instructed by the pool officials.
Although a swimmer is benefited from the minimal risk of getting injured in compared to any other sports but still some threats surrounds the life of regular as well as non-regular swimmers. For the non regular ones it is advised not to cosset them swimming in the deeper side of the pool or use a life jacket while swimming. The swimmers should always wear proper swimsuits and also should be equipped with proper accessories like goggles, caps, ear plugs and floats. The chlorination of the pool waters varies from one pool to another. Chlorination of water can cause irritation to the swimmer’s eyes or swimming for long time keeps a crease mark in the skin. So goggles are prescribed to the swimmers and they are suggested to swim not more than an hour continuously. Goggles protect the eyes from the chlorinated water and also helps for the under water visibility. Ear plugs help to prevent water getting into the ears. Swim caps help the body to keep the body streamlined. For the swim suits daily using casual cloths are not entertained they are usually impractical for swimming and may even unsafe. For male swimmers briefs and shorts are the approved suits while for the female’s skin tight two piece bikinis or single piece swim suits are the appropriate ones. Another important measure that should be taken while swimming is that while you inhale water through your nose; try to breathe through your mouth. You can squeeze your nose using fingers.
It is important to follow the safety measures while swimming; we should not be waved in the minute time of entertainment or relaxation. In order to cherish our good amusement we should be really very careful for the hours after swimming. And the few safety measures are nothing but the stairway to a good leisure time in future.
