When buying a dome camera, you would ideally look for a camera that has strong vandal and weather proof properties. As for the quality of images, you need a security camera that is set with white balance and an auto gain element. A low lux rating is also important to obtain the best quality images during night and low light conditions.

Other factors such as operating temperatures and heat and frost protection should be considered for it to operate optimally in your significant weather conditions. Before you decide on a specific model, you should determine how easy it is to install and if it will be possible for you to do the installation yourself or do you need to have it installed by a technician.
