The place where we stay, our home is the only place in the world where we feel the most comfortable. The safest place for any person is his/her home. It is like a sanctuary for us which protects us from the various strangers that are outside it. It has no substitutes in the world but what will you do if this sanctuary of yours is broken into and you have to suddenly face the cruel outside world? This is what happens when you face home invasion. Home invasion is one of the most frightening things because when you are at home, you are not ready for an invasion or attack. Many of times home invasion are done with the motive of harming the people rather than stealing. There have been cases of home invasion where there have been victim being seriously injured or of graver crimes like rape and murder. 

Home invasion is a crime that the police are trying to fight using a lot of ways. Police keeps a vigil continuously in areas and keeps an eye for any untoward activity at any house. This is very important because home invasion in the absence of the inmates can be done this way. Home invasion is dangerous when it takes place with the inmates in the house and even more when it is night because at that time the neighbors are asleep and you can’t raise your voice as that might turn the invaders aggressive and might cause harm to you and your family. It is very necessary that we always check and lock the doors and windows properly and always be prepared for any kind of home invasion and should have decided our course of action beforehand. It is very difficult to think of something or ways to tackle at that moment when your home is invaded as at that point of time you are in a state of shock and with that mental state you can’t think of something instantly to do.
