<p>Listed herein, is a list of packed lunch options that you can bag for your child when going to school:</p>
<p>-          Wraps prepared from whole wheat tortillas made up of low-fat cream cheese crowned with vegetable slices. You can also use peanut butter as well as jelly when preparing their wheat wrap.</p>
<p>-          One part-sized cups of unflavored apple sauce. Alternatively, you can pack for them freshly squeezed juice.</p>
<p>-          Trail blend prepared using cereals, dehydrated fruits, nuts and pretzels. You can add a couple of chocolate cubes to enhance the taste.</p>

<p>Drinks are also crucial as they ensure that your child is hydrated throughout the day. The following are some of the beverages that you can include in your child’s lunch box: Vita coconut water, apple juice, bottled water and lemonade. Try to minimize the amount of soda that your child drinks.</p>

<p>Note that you kid won’t appreciate the fact that you are making them to carry lunch box to school. The secret to avoiding packed lunch battles is to involve your children in the whole process. Get to know what they like and have them participate in the preparation process. Take them shopping to your local grocery store that sells healthy foods. <p>Since you have to leave the house for school, work and the shopping mall, ensure that you are dressed in warm clothes. Put on layers of clothes in order to keep your body warm. The scarf should be wrapped round your mouth and nose so as to help you with breathing.</p>

<p>Unlike other types of gloves, mitten gloves ensure that your fingers are kept close, thus ensuring that you are kept warm.</p>

In case you have frost bites, desist from massaging or rubbing the area. However, why is it that most parents encourage their children to wash their hands before eating a meal? Washing hands is the best means of stopping pathogens (i.e. germs) from multiplying. There are a lot of things that we do with our hands during the day, for example, paying for groceries, changing tires and cleaning ourselves when we are done with the washroom amongst other things. No matter what you did during the day, you did come into contact with disease causingmicroorganisms.</p>
<p>It is next to impossible to wear gloves throughout the day. However, you can clean your hands so that those disease causing microbes don’t get an opportunity to make you or a member of your household ill.</p>
<p><strong>When is the best time to clean your hands?</strong></p>
<p>You should always wash your hands prior to:</p>
<p>-          Prior to consuming or touching any meal. For example, if you are preparing to cook, make certain that you have washed your hands.</p>
<p>-          Seeing a sick colleague or family member.</p>
<p>-          Using your contact lenses.</p>
<p>You should always wash your hands as soon as:</p>
<p>-          You are done with using the washrooms.</p>
<p>-          You have blown your nose or coughed.</p>
<p>-          You are done with playing with your pet.</p>
<p>-          You are done with playing outside.</p>
<p>-          You are done with nursing a wound.</p>
<p>-          You are done with taking the garbage outside</p>
<p>-          You are done with working on your garden.</p>
<p>Generally, you should always wash your hands whenever they are dirty.</p>
<p>Now that you are familiar with when you need to wash your hands and the reasons for them, do you know how to wash your hands thoroughly clean? While washing your hands, you need to keep the following in mind:</p>
<p>-          Always use warm water while washing your hands.</p>
<p>-          Ensure that you are using soap while washing your hands. The type of soap used does not matter. Whereas most health professionals encourage people to use antibacterial soap while washing their hands, regular soaps can still be used for the same purpose. Then again, there are studies that suggest that using antibacterial soaps causes the germs to develop some resistance to the antibacterial elements used in the soap. This in turn makes an antibacterial soap ineffective when it comes to killing pathogens.</p>
<p>-          Build some lather on your hand, and then scrub between your fingers and underneath your nails. Germs are known to hide under the nails, hence make sure that you have thoroughly scrubbed them.</p>
<p>-           Thereafter, rinse them with clean water and use a towel to dry them.</p>
<p>The only way through which you can be sure that your children are healthy 24/7 is by urging them to clean their hands well and frequently. While washing your hands, do it with your child so that you can show him or her how to properly do it. In addition, encourage them to take as long as they like while washing their hands so as to deter them from rushing.</p>

There are a couple of things that we can do on our own without the intervention of NGOs or government ministries to ensure that our children have access to pure drinking water at home. Discussed herein, are tips and guidelines to ensure that you have safe drinking water at home.</p>
<p><strong>Tip and guidelines</strong></p>
<p>Tip #1 – Boiling drinking water</p>
<p>This ancient tradition is still the surest way of ensuring that your family gets safe drinking water. Boiling water doesn’t take a lot of energy or resources to do. To bring a pot of water to boil takes approximately between 5 to 10 minutes to do. The good thing about boiling water is that you can use electricity, gas or charcoal to do it. Whereas tap water is always treated at the source, possibilities of it being contaminated before reaching your house are many. How, you may ask. Tap water can be contaminated by microorganisms found in water pipes. Therefore, even if your city council assures you that the drinking water to your home is treated, make certain that it is boiled before drinking just to be on the safe side.</p>
<p>Tip #2 – Install water filter</p>
<p>Thanks to technology, there are now water filters available in the market that can be used to filter the water getting into your storage tank. You should consider this option if you find boiling drinking water every now and again too expensive. There are different types of water filters accessible in the market that you can install in your home. There are those that filter water getting into your storage tank and there are those that are installed in the kitchen. Alternatively, you can buy a modern refrigerator with water filter. These types of refrigerators allow you to connect a hose pipe from your kitchen tap the refrigerator. Water coming in is filtered before being dispensed.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, people residing in rural areas might not have access to modern technology that allows them to filter their drinking water. As such, the best option is to sieve the water then treat it with a chemical. Chemicals for treating water at home are now easily available from most drug stores or government offices.</p>

<p>Do not thaw meals at room temperature. Instead:</p>
<p>-          Defrost your meals inside a refrigerator.</p>
<p>-          If you would like to defrost food in the shortest time possible, place it inside an airtight bag and dip it in cold water. If you want to use the microwave, then defrost meals that you are preparing immediately.</p>
<p>Cleanliness</p>
<p>-          Before preparing or eating food, make sure that you have washed your hands using warm water and soap. In addition, thoroughly clean the area where you would like to prepare the food.</p>
<p>-          Before eating fruits, make certain that you have washed then in running water.</p>
<p>Separating meals</p>

From the most basic types of beverages to those incorporating scores of ingredients, there are many considerations to keep in mind when incorporating beverages into a daily diet. While some beverages can be highly beneficial and should be frequently sought after, others are less than stellar in the nutrition department and are best left to the category of consumables to use sparingly. Though what people drink –and how often they drink it&#8211; usually doesn&#8217;t receive much thought from dieters and health-conscious people, taking a closer look at this important part of everyday living can yield considerable health and well-being benefits.</p>
<p>     Of the many different kinds of beverages available, water is undoubtedly the most important. The human body, which is largely made of water itself, relies on this substance to function properly. Dehydration can easily occur in warm or stressful environments, and extra care should be taken to drink adequate amounts of water surrounding exercise activities. Several glasses of water should be consumed on a daily basis, though the exact amount that creates an ideal balance is sure to vary from person to person. Though such beverages are likely harmless in small amounts, drinking excessive quantities and forming long-term addictions can be dangerous. While it&#8217;s possible to cut back on usage and only smoke occasionally, some people may find it easier to cut smoking out of their lives entirely, and stopping altogether is a common goal. Quitting smoking is frequently portrayed as being very difficult, pointing to both the physical and psychological additions that can occur among smokers. While quitting after many years of smoking or during particularly stressful periods may indeed be a challenge, a strong commitment coupled with focus on one&#8217;s goal and follow-through are enough to kick the habit. Still, some people may find it useful to take advantage of various smoking cessation tools or to develop advanced strategies. Examining the range of possible smoking cessation approaches and products can help bolster a plan to quit smoking and may lead smokers to the path that&#8217;s best for them.</p>

A whole host of items such as certain fats, sugars, carbohydrates, favorite comfort foods, and others are often blamed for leading to obesity and other weight problems, and while some of these items may indeed have a poor overall impact on health, singling them out as being responsible for unwanted weight gains may not lead to any truly useful revelations. Often, it&#8217;s not only the content of food, but the way that people eat that ends up causing various health issues. Among the many questionable habits that can lead to being overweight, snacking on poor nutritional food choices is especially detrimental. Whether stashed in a break lounge at work, handed out to kids at school, or waiting in a home&#8217;s pantry, unhealthy snack foods typically fail to deliver any real nourishment and are often rich in the very substances that weight-conscious eaters wish to avoid. Having the occasional snack throughout the day, however, shouldn&#8217;t have to be sacrificed in order to reach or maintain a healthy weight. Changing a snacking routine by creating satisfying, good-tasting, yet healthy snacks at home can be a great way to combat this common eating culprit.</p>
<p>     When people think about snack foods, many naturally turn to images of favorite potato chips, pretzels, boxed cookies, and other highly processed items. Along with high fat and sugar content, such foods often also contain a variety of extraneous chemicals meant to keep the products consistent and to allow for a long shelf life. With nutritionally empty calories and scores of ingredients only present for convenience rather than taste, such foods are usually a poor choice, especially for regular snacking. Though it&#8217;s certainly not necessary to abstain from a favorite store-bought snack food entirely, minimizing intake and viewing such products as occasional treats rather than everyday snacks is a wise idea for anyone concerned about their health or interested in achieving a slimmer figure.</p>
<p>     Even when they incorporate various types of fat and sugar, homemade snacks can deliver a far more nutritionally valuable package. When snacks are made at home, cooks can control the levels and types of potentially harmful ingredients, and there&#8217;s rarely a need to be concerned about preservatives and other unnecessary chemicals. Though homemade snacks may not last as long as more traditional store-bought choices, their shelf lives can be extended through proper storage, and many can be frozen or canned to allow for large batch preparations in advance. There&#8217;s also far more variety available in snack foods when they&#8217;re created in a home kitchen. Favorite flavors, textures, and combinations can all be explored and featured, and each type of snack can be customized and tweaked until it becomes a masterpiece for personal preferences.</p>
<p>     Whether it&#8217;s a certain type of cookie or other sweet treat, a batch of chips with a delicious homemade dip, oven-fresh soft pretzels, or even a simple mix of nuts and spices, snack foods crafted at home can satisfy nearly any type of craving and don&#8217;t have to include ingredients or flavors that aren&#8217;t personal favorites. While it&#8217;s certainly possible to create complex snack foods, the vast majority of items can be made simply and quickly, with a minimum of ingredients and little to no special equipment. Browsing cookbooks and recipe collections for appetizers can be a great way to start exploring the possibilities of homemade snack foods, though it&#8217;s also a good idea to simply start experimenting in the kitchen with whatever sounds appetizing.</p>
<p>     An unexpected benefit, perhaps, of choosing to make snack foods at home is that the simple act of moving around in the kitchen can contribute to an overall effort to stay active and lose weight. Though it may not be an intensive workout or even create noticeable strain, cooking typically does burn calories and can help home cooks feel more energetic –not to mention accomplished. The satisfaction of producing a batch of delicious treats for one&#8217;s family or sitting down with a bowl of snacks personally crafted to address a certain hankering can easily make the effort of home snack making seem worthwhile.</p>
<p>     Though rounded, nutritious meals are the central focus of most plans to eat right and achieve better health, paying attention to snacking habits and choices is also vital. Thankfully, avid snackers don&#8217;t have to give up the occasional munch. By making the choice to explore home snack making instead, eaters can bypass many of the problems of processed snack foods and discover rewarding benefits that extend well beyond great flavor. With a great-tasting homemade snack, practicing a better diet can be thoroughly indulgent.</p>

From sudden unwanted weight gains to fatigue, indigestion, and even an increased risk of certain medical concerns such as heart disease, unhealthy holiday eating can put a great deal of strain on the body and the mind. Making a commitment to eat well while holiday are in full swing may seem like too great a challenge at first, but there&#8217;s no need to turn to highly restrictive diets or to miss out on favorite seasonal dishes. By keeping a close eye on how foods are made, where they&#8217;re sourced from, and how much is consumed, people can minimize the negative effects of holiday feasting without making any unpleasant sacrifices.</p>
<p>     As important during holiday periods as it is throughout the year, creating a nutritional plan that includes balanced contributions from many food groups is essential for staying healthy. When holiday cooking gets underway in many homes, excesses of sugars, fats, and grains may fill refrigerators and top the tables, and it&#8217;s a good idea to counter these items with offerings from the fresh fruit and vegetable groups, as well as dairy products and legumes. Creating such a balance is fairly easy; rather than indulging in heavy carbohydrates and starches and feeling guilty afterwards, holiday diners can simply ensure their meals also include fruits and vegetables, eggs, meat, and other sources of protein to help round out the nutritional profile. Though some holiday dishes may seem especially scandalous in terms of healthy eating, it&#8217;s usually alright to enjoy the occasional treat so long as other, healthier choices aren&#8217;t neglected.</p>
<p>     Seasonal produce can often play a helpful role in ensuring that holiday meals are balanced. Even eaters who aren&#8217;t fond of traditional holiday fruit or vegetable dishes can find flavorful offerings from the earth by checking out a local farmer&#8217;s market and exploring the taste and recipe possibilities of seasonal produce. From iron-rich leafy greens in winter to fresh, bright berries in the spring, there are scores of natural products capable of enhancing holiday nutrition when seasonal highlights are browsed and tried. Though many families insist on producing the same dishes every year at holiday celebrations, experimenting in the kitchen and incorporating readily available fruits and vegetables can create surprising holiday table successes that help keep things flavorful without limiting healthy eating choices to boring or unflavored family standards.</p>
<p>     A common culprit in many holiday spreads is fat. While fats come in a variety of types, some of which are highly prized for their ability to support, rather than detract from, overall health, most indulgent holiday dishes use saturated fats and oils that aren&#8217;t especially nutritious. There are many opportunities to cut down on fat when cooking for holiday feasts, and to substitute poor fat choices with those that are more beneficial. Using unrefined oils such as olive and corn can boost nutritional benefits in recipes that call for processed vegetable oil or margarine, and selecting salmon and other omega-3-rich fish instead of fatty meats for main dishes can take some of the nutritional deficit out of holiday eating. Of course, it&#8217;s also a wise idea to keep fat content realistic when cooking and snacking during the holidays. Though preparing several dishes rich in fat may be a standard practice, there&#8217;s no reason why health-conscious holiday revelers can&#8217;t include leaner meals and encourage a less fattening festive spread.</p>
<p>     It&#8217;s not only the ingredients in certain holiday dishes that are responsible for expanding waistlines during certain times of the year, however. One of the most prominent practices in holiday eating is that of over-indulging. Certainly, when multiple home-cooked dishes are on the table and snack trays are bustling with favorite treats, it can be easy to eat a few too many items. Still, making the effort to curb this particular practice can go a long way towards lessening the damage that holiday eating can deal to weight loss goals or fitness plans. There&#8217;s no need to starve during the holidays, or to insist on eating tiny portions. After all, the body still needs a steady and well-chosen source of nourishment. Instead, it&#8217;s a good idea to pay attention to how the body feels during holiday eating, and to simply stop when the message is sent that the stomach is full.</p>
<p>     While the holidays are often blamed for adding inches and pounds to people&#8217;s figures, certain tendencies in holiday eating and cooking are the true culprits. By staying aware of these issues and making smarter choices, it&#8217;s easy to avoid gaining unwanted weight around the holidays.</p>

By identifying these problems and developing sensible, healthy alternatives, people can get over their addictions to junk food and prevent the many unpleasant consequences of a poor diet.</p>
<p>     Sometimes, people have the idea that in order to combat fast food or to cease a junk food habit, they&#8217;ll have to find healthy food choices at stores and in alternative restaurants. While these tactics can indeed lead to better eating, it&#8217;s far more useful to simply learn how to cook. Increasingly, knowledge of how to prepare various dishes and bring out the flavor of basic fresh ingredients is disappearing among the public, who often prefer to have someone else prepare their meals. When people neglect to learn how to cook, however, they hand over much of the power needed to regulate their own health, and make it easy for junk food manufacturers and marketers to make their products seem not only irresistible, but actually necessary. Learning how to cook doesn&#8217;t have to involve complicated recipe following or the use of expensive kitchen equipment. By simply learning how to make a few basic meals that incorporate a range of food groups, budding chefs can start preparing foods that deliver far better health benefits than fare purchased on the go or meant to be popped in the microwave and eaten.</p>
<p>     Once basic cooking skills have been learned, consumers can combat one of the greatest weapons of junk food manufacturers: convenience. Whether on the road and in need of a quick snack, in search of a fast lunch at work, or simply hungry for a filling meal at the end of a long and tiring day, people often turn to junk food because of the ability to have food available quickly and in portable form. Home cooks can create great alternatives, however, by making large batches of various dishes and storing them in convenient containers for eating away from home. A large stew, for instance, can be made and poured into individual portable containers, creating an entire week&#8217;s worth of lunches for a busy office worker, and many types of cooked food can be stored in the freezer to allow for later use. Many popular types of food that are riddled with preservatives, unhealthy fats, and refined sugars when purchased from a restaurant or store can be made in a healthy version at home to give busy people a quick and nourishing kick. From granola bars to cookies, potato chips to popcorn, homemade versions of favorite snacks can help harness the convenience of junk food without presenting a danger to health.</p>
<p>     A common misconception is that healthy food is less flavorful or filling than food purchased at convenience restaurants or pre-made for TV dinners. When people explore the possibilities of home cooking, however, they&#8217;re likely to find that there are many flavor profiles that can be created, many of which are far more interesting or pleasing than those found among junk food items. People who choose to stop eating junk food are also likely to notice that they&#8217;re better able to taste natural foods after a while, as well, especially when a junk food habit has been practiced for long periods of time prior to quitting.</p>
<p>     As with many other types of addicting substances, junk food can be difficult to let go of if other people nearby are consuming it regularly. If a single family member attempts to stop eating junk food while the other members of the family continue to do so, the individual attempting to quit may experienced diminished motivation or greater cravings. By encouraging family, friends, and co-workers to stop eating junk food and choose healthier alternatives, those hoping to kick the habit can increase their likelihood of success. Supporting others in their efforts to stop eating junk food can greatly help this process along, and as part of a plan to cook more often at home, people may wish to concoct healthy treats or snacks to share with others.</p>
<p>     When people fight back against the various weapons of modern junk food, they can greatly improve their overall health and wellness while preventing specific diseases and obesity. By approaching healthier eating with good sense, it&#8217;s possible to break the addiction to junk food and enjoy delicious, filling, wholesome nutrition.</p>

For example, the pipeline that supplies drinking water to various homes is generally installed many years ago. Therefore, there the likelihoods of mold and rust that can contaminate the water being supplied to your home forming in some of these pipes are high. As such, it is upon you to ensure that your drinking water is safe. Discussed herein, are tips and guidelines on how to make your drinking water at home safe.</p>
<p><strong>Tips</strong></p>
<p>Tip #1 – Boiling water</p>
<p>The best means of ensuring that your drinking water is safe is by boiling it. To date, this age old tradition is the only way through which you can be guaranteed that waterborne diseases in your drinking water are eliminated. You need to boil your drinking water even if you are getting it from a city’s water reservoir. It only takes a couple of minutes to boil water. The cost incurred in boiling your drinking water cannot be compared to the cost you will incur in treating waterborne diseases such as dysentery and typhoid.</p>
<p>Tip #2 – Filtration</p>
<p>In most arid areas of the world, most families rely on water from rivers and wells. Given that even domesticated and wild animals rely on these water sources, chances of contamination are extremely high. Hence, water drawn from rivers and wells need to be filtered before boiling. Filtration helps in eliminating dirt particles as well as other elements that may contaminate the water. The good thing about filtration is that you do not need to have a state-of-the-art equipment to do it. You can build a homemade filtration system using a pipe, sand and rocks.</p>
<p>If you reside in the city and rely on tap water for your consumption, then you can purchase a filtering system which is connected to the pipe supplying water into your home. This ensures that water for use in the house is clean and thereby eliminating the need of boiling it. There are also modern refrigerators that filter drinking water from the pipe. If you have the funds, then you can buy such a refrigerator to ensure that your family is safe.</p>
<p>Tip #3 – Chemicals</p>
<p>There are water treating chemicals which you can easily be purchased from any pharmaceutical store to treat drinking water at home. These are sometimes made available from local government offices since some families find it expensive to boil drinking water.</p>
<p>Other ways of ensuring that you have pure drinking water at home are:</p>
<ul>
<li>Making sure that containers used to keep drinking water are clean. Make it a habit to clean the containers each and every time before refilling them with drinking water.</li>
<li>Making sure that the area where drinking water is kept clean.</li>

<p>Steroids are natural or chemically synthesized material that help in boosting the functions of certain body parts. The most common reason for use of steroids is that they increase the mass of the muscle and its capacity to bear. It is being used increasingly by the sportsmen to increase their strength. Moreover it increases the stamina by preserving the blood glucose. It also heals the injuries in the muscle faster.</p>
<p>These muscle building steroids can be taken in form of injections in the veins or under the skin. It can also be taken orally or put under the skin in form of a pellet. It can also be applied on the skin in form of patches when it comes in form of gels.</p>
<p>Steroid can be classified in two forms- anabolic and catabolic steroids. Anabolic steroids are also called anabolic androgenic steroids. They target the testosterone in the body and are used with specific purposes. They increase the protein synthesis in the cells. There is a lot of wear and tear of the muscles of the athletes. The anabolic steroids tend to build up the strength of muscles.</p>
<p>Catabolic steroids on the other hand help in the breaking down of muscle mass. They avoid the swelling of the muscle and stimulate the autoimmune system. But the athletes cannot take all types of steroids for they are bound by the law. Steroids can also be divided in terms of legality as legal and illegal steroids.</p>
<p>Legal steroids are used by prescribed medical practitioners. They can be used in the treatment of different ailments such as breast cancer, deficient RBC, and loss of the functions of the testicles or even late puberty.</p>
<p>Illegal steroids include those drugs that are used unfairly to gain more strength than others. Some of the common names that belong to the list of illegally used steroids are nondrolone, testosterone and methandrostenolone.</p>
<p>When one talks about muscle building steroids it is obviously intended about legal steroids. In fact there is a very minute difference between the legal and illegal steroids. The intention is the major consideration; if the steroid is used to increase the normal capacity of the body and to gain a benefit, the use is illegal and abused.</p>
<p>While using muscle building steroids the point that has to be kept in mind is that they are to be administered by prescription of a medical practitioner. Dozes are calculated by him and overdose may cause restlessness and heart failure.</p>
<p>Let us not forget the sad demise of Michael Jackson for injudicious use of steroids. Within limits it is a boon, out of limit it is bane.</p>
